Specs come from Latham’s official 2026 catalog. Size and volume may vary up to 3%. Screen colors are close, not exact. We bring real finish and tile samples to every design visit.

Will the Fiji fit your yard?

The Fiji shell measures 15' x 34' at the water’s edge. With the 3’ of concrete decking that is already in the price on every side, the finished pad is about 21' by 40' — tape that out in the yard first. A pool this size also has to clear the setbacks — the distance from property lines, the house and easements that Kings, Tulare and Fresno county cities each set for themselves. We confirm yours before the site plan (permit guide).

In the 2026 California-built lineup the Fiji is one of the big models: 13 of the other 46 models are longer and 35 hold less water. A shell this long still arrives in one piece from Latham’s Williams, CA plant, and the crane pick is the part we plan hardest — street or driveway access for a large crane is the first thing we look at on the site visit.

Depth, seating and who the Fiji suits

It runs from 3'6" at the entry to 6' at the far end — chest to shoulder deep for most adults, deep enough to feel like real swimming, shallow enough that nobody is out of their depth.

Built into the Fiji: swim-up seating along the wall so adults can sit in the water and talk.

Delivery outside the standard freight zone, tight access, tough soil and options are quoted per project. You always get a final written number before you sign anything. Fiji vs. the models next to it

The Fiji is a one-of-a-kind shape in the lineup. The two freeform models closest to it in price:

ModelSizeDepthVolumeInstalled
Axiom 1616' x 35'4'6" – 6'6"11,600 galfrom $72,995
Fiji15' x 34'3'6" – 6'12,000 galfrom $73,995
Bermuda 16.3516' x 35'3'6" – 6'6"14,000 galfrom $72,995

Stepping up to the Bermuda 16.35 adds 1' of length and 2,000 gallons for $1,000 less. Against the Axiom 16, the Fiji carries 400 more gallons for $1,000 more. All three are turnkey installed prices — nothing hidden behind a quote.

Owning a Fiji in the Central Valley

A Central Valley summer — weeks over 100°F — pulls something like a quarter inch of water off an uncovered pool every day. On the Fiji’s roughly 430 square feet of water surface that is on the order of 70 gallons a day in July — the single best argument for an automatic cover on this model. A cover also holds heat overnight, which matters more on a 12,000-gallon pool than the brochure suggests.

Volume drives running cost. At 12,000 gallons the Fiji needs about the chlorine and acid a typical Valley pool does, and the first fill takes about 22 hours from a garden hose at 500–600 gallons an hour — we start it the day the shell is set and plumbed. Our own Hanford crew handles the install, the permit and, if you want it, the weekly service afterward.

Fiji questions

How much does the Fiji cost installed in Hanford?

The Fiji starts at $73,995 turnkey: excavation, the shell, equipment, plumbing, standard freight, 3’ of concrete decking, plans, permitting and taxes. Central Valley pricing. Prices are subject to change based on distance from Hanford, CA. California law caps the down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000, and we bill only for work that is done.

How big is the Fiji, and how much yard does it need?

The shell is 15' x 34' with about 12,000 gallons of water. With the included 3’ deck the footprint is roughly 21' by 40', plus whatever setback your city or county requires from property lines and the house. We confirm the setback and draw the site plan before anything is signed.

How deep is the Fiji?

The Fiji runs from 3'6" in the shallow end to 6' at the deep end. Like every fiberglass pool it is not rated for a diving board.

Can I add a tanning ledge or spa to the Fiji?

Yes. Neither is molded into this shell, so we build a standalone fiberglass ledge or spa alongside the pool and show it as its own line on the estimate. The upgrade list on this page has the starting prices.

How long does it take to fill the Fiji?

About 22 hours for 12,000 gallons from a standard garden hose. We start the fill the day the shell is set and plumbed; most projects go from dig to swim-ready in 2–4 weeks once the permit is in hand.

Backed by Latham. Installed by a Grand Dealer.

Latham Pool Grand Builder seal

Neighborhood Pool Service is a Latham Grand Dealer — the top tier of Latham’s dealer network. Your Fiji ships from Latham’s factory. Our licensed local crew installs it to Latham’s specs (CSLB #1139527, verify). And Latham backs the shell with its limited lifetime structural warranty.

California protects pool buyers — and we follow the law to the letter

Under California law (Business & Professions Code §7159), a licensed contractor may collect a down payment of no more than $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less. So no matter the size of your project, we will never ask for more than $1,000 down. And we only bill for work after it is done. If any pool company asks you for a 20–50% deposit up front, that is a red flag. It’s also illegal.

You already know the starting price — it’s printed above. Tell us where the pool is going. We’ll come out, walk the yard, and put a real number in writing. It’s free, and usually done within a couple of days. And if you go ahead, California law caps your down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000.
