Sanger Pool Builders
Licensed pool construction, remodeling and service in Sanger, CA (Fresno County) — from your neighbors in Hanford.
Sanger sits on the Blossom Trail east of Fresno. Sanger's summers are long and hot — just what a backyard pool is for. And every model we sell is priced right on this site.
How far we are from Sanger
29.3 mi from our Hanford shop — about 43 minutes via CA-43 N and S Academy Ave. We serve up to two hours out and schedule closest first. So Sanger sits well inside our normal working radius for site visits, build days and service calls. Standard shell freight is already included in every published price on this site. The drive is our problem, not a line on your estimate.
Sanger is 29 miles out but 43 minutes. The trip runs surface streets past Fresno. It's the route, not the distance, that makes it longer than Fresno itself.
What we build in Sanger
- Latham fiberglass pools — all 47 California-built models of the 2026 lineup (CA models only, molded at Latham’s Williams, CA plant). Installed turnkey by a Latham Grand Dealer, from $44,995, with every price published. Most installs swim in 2–4 weeks.
- Custom gunite pools — any shape you can draw. Engineered and built in concrete, complete 15'×30' builds from $52,995.
- Remodels & restorations — resurfacing, tile, decking, equipment, lighting and automation.
- Weekly service & maintenance — so the pool we build for you stays clean, balanced and ready to swim.
Who issues your Sanger pool permit
Sanger projects permit through the City of Sanger or Fresno County. We produce the plans and run the whole process. Inside the city limits it's the City of Sanger building division. Outside them it's Fresno County. This matters more than people expect. A Sanger mailing address does not guarantee a Sanger jurisdiction. The wrong counter costs you weeks. We check it by parcel before we draw anything. Read the full permit process →
What the build looks like in Sanger
- Free site visit. Site visits here are an easy 43 minutes via CA-43 N and S Academy Ave. We measure the yard, confirm crane access, and put the real number in writing. Free.
- Plans & permit. City-limits addresses permit through the City of Sanger building division. Unincorporated ones go through Fresno County. We handle both, and the fee is in the price.
- Dig & set day. We dig, then crane the California-built shell in. The part the neighbors come out to watch takes a single day.
- Plumb, wire, deck, swim. Figure 2–4 weeks of build time for fiberglass once the Sanger permit is issued. Gunite takes 8–12.

East of town, the parcels get rural and large. Yard size stops being the limit. The question becomes where the truck and crane can set up.

Which pool models fit a Sanger backyard?
East of town, the parcels get rural and large. Yard size stops being the limit. The question becomes where the truck and crane can set up. For most Sanger yards we'd start with the Key West, Bermuda 14, Fiji. But the honest answer comes from measuring your buildable space and your access. How to size a pool to your yard →
Who issues the pool permit in Sanger?
Inside the city limits, the City of Sanger building division. Outside them, it's Fresno County. A Sanger mailing address does not always mean a Sanger jurisdiction. We check it by parcel before we draw anything. Then we pull the permit ourselves. It's included in the turnkey price. The full permit process →
How far is your crew from Sanger?
29.3 mi, about 43 minutes from our shop in Hanford. We serve up to two hours out and schedule closest-first. So Sanger sits well inside our normal working radius. And standard shell freight is already included in every published price on this site.
How long does a pool build take in Sanger?
Fiberglass: most installs run 2–4 weeks once permits are in hand. The shell itself sets in a single day. Custom gunite: usually 8–12 weeks. Permit timelines vary by jurisdiction. We run that process for you.
How much do I have to put down?
Never more than $1,000. California law (B&P §7159) caps a contractor's down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000. And we only bill for work after it's completed. So the risk sits with us, not with you, until the work is done.
How do I know you're legit?
Check, don't trust. CSLB license #1139527 (C-53 + C-61/D-35) is current and active — verify it on the state's site. We carry a $25,000 contractor's bond and a $100,000 LLC employee/worker bond. We also carry $3,000,000 in liability insurance and workers' comp. Full credentials →
California protects pool buyers — and we follow the law to the letter
Under California law (Business & Professions Code §7159), a licensed contractor may collect a down payment of no more than $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less. So no matter the size of your project, we will never ask for more than $1,000 down. And we only bill for work after it is done. If any pool company asks you for a 20–50% deposit up front, that is a red flag. It’s also illegal.

Commercial pools in Sanger
Everything above is residential. An HOA, apartment complex, school or hotel pool is a different job — tighter code, health-department inspection, and downtime that has to be scheduled around residents or guests. The same licence and the same $3,000,000 liability cover it, but the scope and the bid are their own thing: commercial pool contractors for Sanger and the Central Valley.
Pool financing in Sanger
Most Sanger clients finance some or all of the pool. Two things make that easier here than people expect, and neither one is the loan. California caps our down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000, and we only bill for work already finished — so you are never borrowing a lump sum to hand a contractor on day one. You are funding a project that pays out as it gets built. Checking what you qualify for is a soft credit pull and does not affect your score: pool financing in Sanger — rates, terms and the rate-check link, or read the longer explainer on how pool financing works in California.
Start your Sanger pool project
Here is your whole risk. The site visit is free. The written, itemized estimate is free. If you go ahead, California law caps your down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000 — on a pool, that means $1,000 — and we only bill for work after it’s done. Most fiberglass installs swim 2–4 weeks after the permit lands — and the walk that starts it all is free.
