How it works

Check Your Rate with HFS

HFS Financial is an independent lender. All loan terms, rates and approvals are determined solely by HFS Financial and its lending partners. Neighborhood Pool Service LLC does not originate loans, is not a lender or broker, and receives no part of any finance charge.

This is an example only, not an offer of credit. The lender sets all rates, terms and approvals. HFS Financial advertises fixed rates from 7.8% APR and loans up to $450,000, with terms from 1–30 years. Checking your rate uses a soft credit pull. It does not affect your credit score.

And remember: no matter how you pay, California law caps our down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000 — on a pool, that means $1,000. We bill only after work is done. Your money follows the finished work.

Pool financing questions, answered

Can I finance a swimming pool?

Yes — most of our clients finance some or all of their pool. We work with HFS Financial, a lender specializing in pool and home improvement loans, with unsecured loans up to $450,000, fixed rates from 7.8% APR and terms from 1 to 30 years. Checking your rate uses a soft credit pull, so it does not affect your credit score.

Does financing a pool require home equity?

Not through the unsecured programs we point clients to: no home equity is needed and no lien is placed on your property. The funds go to you, and you pay us on the same completed-work draw schedule as any other client.

What does a pool cost per month?

It depends on the amount financed, the rate you qualify for and the term you pick. The payment calculator on this page shows the math at published rates, and every fiberglass model on this site has a published turnkey price to plug into it — so you can find your monthly number before you ever talk to a lender.

Do I have to pay a big deposit while I wait for funding?

No — and in California a big pool deposit is illegal. State law caps a pool contractor's down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000, and work is billed only after it is completed. Your loan funds stay with you and follow the finished work.
