What we build in Selma

Who issues your Selma pool permit

Selma projects permit through the City of Selma or Fresno County. We manage it for you. Inside the city limits it's the City of Selma building division. Outside them it's Fresno County. This matters more than people expect. A Selma mailing address does not guarantee a Selma jurisdiction. The wrong counter costs you weeks. We check it by parcel before we draw anything. What the build looks like in Selma

  1. Free site visit. About 24 minutes out CA-43 N and we are in your yard. We walk it, check access and soil, and leave you a written itemized number. No cost.
  2. Plans & permit. In-town projects go through the City of Selma building division. County parcels go through Fresno County. Either way, the permit is our legwork, already in the turnkey number.
  3. Dig & set day. A day or two of digging, then set day. The Williams-built shell comes off the truck and into the ground by crane before dinner.
  4. Plumb, wire, deck, swim. From permit in hand to swimming is usually 2–4 weeks for fiberglass in Selma. Custom gunite takes 8–12.

For most Selma yards we'd start with the Aruba, Tuscan 14.27, Bermuda 16.40. But the honest answer comes from measuring your buildable space and your access. How to size a pool to your yard →

Who issues the pool permit in Selma?

Inside the city limits, the City of Selma building division. Outside them, it's Fresno County. A Selma mailing address does not always mean a Selma jurisdiction. We check it by parcel before we draw anything. Then we pull the permit ourselves. It's included in the turnkey price. The full permit process →

How far is your crew from Selma?

16.9 mi, about 24 minutes from our shop in Hanford. We serve up to two hours out and schedule closest-first. So Selma sits well inside our normal working radius. And standard shell freight is already included in every published price on this site.

How long does a pool build take in Selma?

Fiberglass: most installs run 2–4 weeks once permits are in hand. The shell itself sets in a single day. Custom gunite: usually 8–12 weeks. Permit timelines vary by jurisdiction. We run that process for you.

How much do I have to put down?

Never more than $1,000. California law (B&P §7159) caps a contractor's down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000. And we only bill for work after it's completed. So the risk sits with us, not with you, until the work is done.

How do I know you're legit?

Check, don't trust. CSLB license #1139527 (C-53 + C-61/D-35) is current and active — verify it on the state's site. We carry a $25,000 contractor's bond and a $100,000 LLC employee/worker bond. We also carry $3,000,000 in liability insurance and workers' comp. Full credentials →

California protects pool buyers — and we follow the law to the letter

Under California law (Business & Professions Code §7159), a licensed contractor may collect a down payment of no more than $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less. So no matter the size of your project, we will never ask for more than $1,000 down. And we only bill for work after it is done. If any pool company asks you for a 20–50% deposit up front, that is a red flag. It’s also illegal.

Commercial pools in Selma

Everything above is residential. An HOA, apartment complex, school or hotel pool is a different job — tighter code, health-department inspection, and downtime that has to be scheduled around residents or guests. The same licence and the same $3,000,000 liability cover it, but the scope and the bid are their own thing: commercial pool contractors for Selma and the Central Valley.

Here is your whole risk. The site visit is free. The written, itemized estimate is free. If you go ahead, California law caps your down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000 — on a pool, that means $1,000 — and we only bill for work after it’s done. Most fiberglass installs swim 2–4 weeks after the permit lands — and the walk that starts it all is free.
