Fresno Pool Builders
Licensed pool construction, remodeling and service in Fresno, CA (Fresno County) — from your neighbors in Hanford.
Fresno is the biggest market we serve, and still an easy run from Hanford. Fresno summers are what fiberglass is made for. The pool installs in weeks. The non-porous finish stands up to heavy use.
How far we are from Fresno
31.0 mi from our Hanford shop — about 38 minutes via CA-99 N. We serve up to two hours out and schedule closest first. So Fresno sits well inside our normal working radius for site visits, build days and service calls. Standard shell freight is already included in every published price on this site. The drive is our problem, not a line on your estimate.
Unincorporated Fresno County addresses permit through County Public Works and Planning, not the city. And plenty of "Fresno" mailing addresses are county, not city.

- Custom gunite pools — any shape you can draw. Engineered and built in concrete, complete 15'×30' builds from $52,995.
- Remodels & restorations — resurfacing, tile, decking, equipment, lighting and automation.
- Weekly service & maintenance — so the pool we build for you stays clean, balanced and ready to swim.
Who issues your Fresno pool permit
We handle permits with the City of Fresno and Fresno County. That includes the pool-barrier and anti-entrapment rules every valid permit covers. Inside the city limits it's the City of Fresno building division. Outside them it's Fresno County. This matters more than people expect. A Fresno mailing address does not guarantee a Fresno jurisdiction. The wrong counter costs you weeks. We check it by parcel before we draw anything. Read the full permit process →
What the build looks like in Fresno
- Free site visit. About 38 minutes out CA-99 N and we are in your yard. We walk it, check access and soil, and leave you a written itemized number. No cost.
- Plans & permit. In-town projects go through the City of Fresno building division. County parcels go through Fresno County. Either way, the permit is our legwork, already in the turnkey number.
- Dig & set day. A day or two of digging, then set day. The Williams-built shell comes off the truck and into the ground by crane before dinner.
- Plumb, wire, deck, swim. From permit in hand to swimming is usually 2–4 weeks for fiberglass in Fresno. Custom gunite takes 8–12.
Models that fit Fresno yards
Fresno splits two ways. On older central and Tower-area lots, access is the whole conversation. North Fresno tracts take a full-size model without much argument.

Which pool models fit a Fresno backyard?
Fresno splits two ways. On older central and Tower-area lots, access is the whole conversation. North Fresno tracts take a full-size model without much argument. For most Fresno yards we'd start with the Tuscan 11.20, Corinthian 14, Corinthian 16. But the honest answer comes from measuring your buildable space and your access. Who issues the pool permit in Fresno?
Inside the city limits, the City of Fresno building division. Outside them, it's Fresno County. A Fresno mailing address does not always mean a Fresno jurisdiction. We check it by parcel before we draw anything. Then we pull the permit ourselves. It's included in the turnkey price. The full permit process →
How far is your crew from Fresno?
31.0 mi, about 38 minutes from our shop in Hanford. We serve up to two hours out and schedule closest-first. So Fresno sits well inside our normal working radius. And standard shell freight is already included in every published price on this site.
How long does a pool build take in Fresno?
Fiberglass: most installs run 2–4 weeks once permits are in hand. The shell itself sets in a single day. Custom gunite: usually 8–12 weeks. Permit timelines vary by jurisdiction. We run that process for you.
How much do I have to put down?
Never more than $1,000. California law (B&P §7159) caps a contractor's down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000. And we only bill for work after it's completed. So the risk sits with us, not with you, until the work is done.
How do I know you're legit?
Check, don't trust. CSLB license #1139527 (C-53 + C-61/D-35) is current and active — verify it on the state's site. We carry a $25,000 contractor's bond and a $100,000 LLC employee/worker bond. We also carry $3,000,000 in liability insurance and workers' comp. Full credentials →
California protects pool buyers — and we follow the law to the letter
Under California law (Business & Professions Code §7159), a licensed contractor may collect a down payment of no more than $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less. So no matter the size of your project, we will never ask for more than $1,000 down. And we only bill for work after it is done. If any pool company asks you for a 20–50% deposit up front, that is a red flag. It’s also illegal.

Commercial pools in Fresno
Everything above is residential. An HOA, apartment complex, school or hotel pool is a different job — tighter code, health-department inspection, and downtime that has to be scheduled around residents or guests. The same licence and the same $3,000,000 liability cover it, but the scope and the bid are their own thing: commercial pool contractors for Fresno and the Central Valley.

Here is your whole risk. The site visit is free. The written, itemized estimate is free. If you go ahead, California law caps your down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000 — on a pool, that means $1,000 — and we only bill for work after it’s done. Most fiberglass installs swim 2–4 weeks after the permit lands — and the walk that starts it all is free.
