These photos and drawings are Latham’s official Astoria 16 images. It is the same shell we install. The shell is molded at Latham’s Williams, CA plant and installed by our crew to Latham’s spec — that is what keeps the limited lifetime shell warranty valid. See the Astoria 16 on lathampool.com →

Will the Astoria 16 fit your yard?
The Astoria 16 shell measures 15'10" x 40' at the water’s edge. With the 3’ of concrete decking that is already in the price on every side, the finished pad is about 21'10" by 46' — tape that out in the yard first. A pool this size also has to clear the setbacks — the distance from property lines, the house and easements that Kings, Tulare and Fresno county cities each set for themselves. We confirm yours before the site plan (permit guide).
In the 2026 California-built lineup the Astoria 16 is one of the big models: 5 of the other 46 models are longer and 42 hold less water. A shell this long still arrives in one piece from Latham’s Williams, CA plant, and the crane pick is the part we plan hardest — street or driveway access for a large crane is the first thing we look at on the site visit.
Depth, seating and who the Astoria 16 suits
It runs from 3'6" at the entry to a true 7' deep end where adults are over their heads. Families with teenagers ask for this depth by name. It is still not a diving pool — no fiberglass shell is rated for a board.
Built into the Astoria 16: a spa molded into the shell — one shell, one crane pick, one equipment pad, and with a heater it is usable on a January night, a tanning ledge molded into the shell — a few inches of water for loungers, toddlers and the dog, swim-up seating along the wall so adults can sit in the water and talk, a champagne wall that spills from the spa into the pool, and an auto-cover-ready coping line, so an automatic safety cover fits without a custom track.

Astoria 16 vs. the models next to it
The Astoria 16 is one of 3 Astoria models built in California this year. Same shape language, different size and price:
| Model | Size | Depth | Volume | Installed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Astoria 12 | 12' x 28' | 3' – 5'7" | 6,000 gal | from $76,995 |
| Astoria 14 | 14' x 35' | 3'6" – 6'6" | 10,700 gal | from $71,995 |
| Astoria 16 | 15'10" x 40' | 3'6" – 7' | 15,600 gal | from $93,995 |
Against the Astoria 14, the Astoria 16 carries 4,900 more gallons for $22,000 more. All three are turnkey installed prices — nothing hidden behind a quote.
Owning an Astoria 16 in the Central Valley
A Central Valley summer — weeks over 100°F — pulls something like a quarter inch of water off an uncovered pool every day. On the Astoria 16’s roughly 630 square feet of water surface that is on the order of 100 gallons a day in July — the single best argument for an automatic cover on this model (the shell is already cut for one). A cover also holds heat overnight, which matters more on a 15,600-gallon pool than the brochure suggests.
Volume drives running cost. At 15,600 gallons the Astoria 16 needs more chemistry than a mid-size pool, which our weekly service plans price in, and the first fill takes about 28 hours from a garden hose at 500–600 gallons an hour — we start it the day the shell is set and plumbed. Our own Hanford crew handles the install, the permit and, if you want it, the weekly service afterward.
Astoria 16 questions
How much does the Astoria 16 cost installed in Hanford?
The Astoria 16 starts at $93,995 turnkey: excavation, the shell, equipment, plumbing, standard freight, 3’ of concrete decking, plans, permitting and taxes. Central Valley pricing. Prices are subject to change based on distance from Hanford, CA. California law caps the down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000, and we bill only for work that is done.
How big is the Astoria 16, and how much yard does it need?
The shell is 15'10" x 40' with about 15,600 gallons of water. With the included 3’ deck the footprint is roughly 21'10" by 46', plus whatever setback your city or county requires from property lines and the house. We confirm the setback and draw the site plan before anything is signed.
How deep is the Astoria 16?
The Astoria 16 runs from 3'6" in the shallow end to 7' at the deep end. Like every fiberglass pool it is not rated for a diving board.
Does the Astoria 16 come with a spa?
Yes. The spa is molded into the Astoria 16 shell, so it is set with the pool in the same crane pick and runs on the same equipment pad. Add a heater and it is a year-round spa.
How long does it take to fill the Astoria 16?
About 28 hours for 15,600 gallons from a standard garden hose. We start the fill the day the shell is set and plumbed; most projects go from dig to swim-ready in 2–4 weeks once the permit is in hand.
Backed by Latham. Installed by a Grand Dealer.
Neighborhood Pool Service is a Latham Grand Dealer — the top tier of Latham’s dealer network. Your Astoria 16 ships from Latham’s factory. Our licensed local crew installs it to Latham’s specs (CSLB #1139527, verify). And Latham backs the shell with its limited lifetime structural warranty.
California protects pool buyers — and we follow the law to the letter
Under California law (Business & Professions Code §7159), a licensed contractor may collect a down payment of no more than $1,000 or 10% of the contract price, whichever is less. So no matter the size of your project, we will never ask for more than $1,000 down. And we only bill for work after it is done. If any pool company asks you for a 20–50% deposit up front, that is a red flag. It’s also illegal.

You already know the starting price — it’s printed above. Tell us where the pool is going. We’ll come out, walk the yard, and put a real number in writing. It’s free, and usually done within a couple of days. And if you go ahead, California law caps your down payment at the lesser of 10% or $1,000.
